How to Create an Account

Watch the video or follow the steps below to create your free Canopy account. 

To create your Canopy account, go to https://canopy.11trees.com/login and click on the “Create a free account” button.

This will open a box where you need to enter the following information, which will be stored in accordance with our privacy policy.

Email: This should be the same email you use to log in to Canvas. Likely something like Robert.Dean@drexel.edu

Full Name: Your full name.

Canvas site domain: When you log in to Canvas your URL will look something like https://myschoolname.instructure.com enter what comes after the // and before .instructure.com

User access Token: to get your token, follow the steps here.

User Token expiration (optional): As outlined here in the support article for generating a token, you can optionally choose to set an expiry date on tokens that you generate. This will ensure that if your token were to fall into the wrong hands, there would be a hard cutoff date for when the token would still work. If you are not making use of this additional security feature, you can leave this field blank.

After clicking Create you will automatically be logged in to Canopy. 

Logging in to Canopy

To log in to Canopy you need your email address and secure token. As detailed in the “How to Get a Token” support article, you can either save a token somewhere or generate a new token each time you want to log in.

Navigate to https://canopy.11trees.com/login and simply enter your email address and token and click “Log in”. This will open up your Canopy dashboard where you can get right to managing student discussions.
