When To Use Knowledge Base Mode?

Individual users can use KB Mode to copy comments for placement into apps outside of Chrome. For instance, Slack or native Microsoft Teams (AP works beautifully with both browser-based versions of these solutions). 

Institutions can invest in creating Knowledge Bases that collects school information: Lib Guides, School Policies, Accessibility Resources, and publish them to all faculty and staff. Since AP makes it easy to manage Comment Libraries centrally for institutions, everyone on campus can have the right info at their fingertips. Even if they aren’t grading papers.

In an age of AI, curated, validated information is more important than ever.

How Do You Access KB Mode?

You’ll find a toggle in the main AP Chrome Extension Pop Up and the AP Sidebar Lightning menu. Flip between modes and your choice is remembered.

As always, you can hover over a Comment visible in the sidebar to see a preview or right-click to edit.
