AP Toolbars
Annotate PRO’s toolbars allow quick access to favorites, search, and other tools. Toolbars can be placed on the right, at the top, or in both spots on your screen. You can configure them to fit your workflow and the tools you’re using. All users can configure AP’s sidebars but AP+ and institution users gain additional options (see AP+ details below) like coloring Favorites, showing ALL Comments in the Sidebar, and grouping Comments.

Turn Toolbars On/Off
To choose whether your Toolbar is on the right, the top, both, or OFF click the ‘a’ > Gear icon > Settings > Toolbars and make a choice. Refresh any open pages to see the changes.

Toolbars provide convenient access to Favorites, Search, History, and Translate – depending on your license level. The + icon at the top of the toolbar also allows you to add new content to your Libraries in a pop-up window. Toolbars are convenient, but you can turn them off and just use the ALT-A path to open AP’s main interface in the Chrome toolbar (or just click the ‘A’).

Coloring and Sorting Favorites + Double Wide Sidebar
AP+ and Institutional users can sort Favorite buttons and color-code them. They can also make their toolbar double wide so you can see more Favorites, more Groups and Sub-Groups, and get a bigger view into Search. Turn on Double Wide from the Gear menu, then Settings/Toolbars and check “Double Wide.” Then refresh your current web page.
Double the space for your Favorites!
Toolbar Customizations
AP+ features, available to paid individuals and institutional users, allow you to customize your AP toolbar.
