Formatted Text

Use AP to insert formatted text into SpeedGrader

Comments authored in AP with bold, italics, bold AND italics, and embedded URLs will insert with rich formatting. AP+ and institutional users can use AP’s Free Form feature to type rich text comments, using keyboard shortcuts like CTRL-B to turn on bolding, and then insert them into a SpeedGrader comment with formatting preserved.

1-Click Entry

Enable 1-click so when you select a comment from your Libraries, it will automatically submit the comment in SpeedGrader. A small but cumulative time saver for sending feedback! 

SpeedGrader and Student History

See a history of feedback sent to a student

AP allows you to log your comments sent to the current student. In SpeedGrader you will see the total number of logged feedback comments sent to the student’s paper you’re evaluating in the AP toolbar. Clicking on it opens a window with the full text history. 

Why would you want to do this?

1. Effortlessly create a history of comments for each student, which you can quickly scan – from within SpeedGrader  – and also dig into analytics. Have they improved on the feedback you sent on their last paper?
2. By saving even free-form (custom) comments entered into SpeedGrader you can easily extend your libraries of reusable comments based on one-off feedback you already provided.
3. Set history to Anonymous to keep overall course data and see where a particular section’s strengths and weaknesses are based on their last lab reports or research papers.
