Enhanced Platform Support and Refinements

We’re pleased to announce the release of Annotate PRO (AP) version 7.14 Chrome Extension. This update builds upon our major May release, focusing on platform compatibility improvements and bug fixes to ensure a smoother feedback experience.

What’s New in v7.14

1. Enhanced Platform Support

  • Brightspace/D2L Integration: We’ve improved compatibility with Brightspace (D2L), making your feedback workflow even more seamless.
  • Dropbox Enhancement: Better support for commenting on Dropbox documents, including improved integration with Microsoft Word on the Web.

2. System Improvements

  • Various bug fixes and system refinements to enhance overall stability and performance
  • Continued optimization following our comprehensive May update

Troubleshooting Tips

Keyboard Shortcut (ALT-A) Reset

If you notice the ALT-A shortcut for accessing AP and full-text search isn’t working after updating:

  1. Navigate to chrome://extensions/shortcuts
  2. Locate the AP entry and click the edit icon
  3. Type ALT-A to restore the shortcut

General Troubleshooting Steps

If you encounter any issues:

  1. Refresh all open web pages where you use AP
  2. Visit chrome://extensions/ and toggle AP OFF and then ON
  3. Log out of AP and log back in
