11trees is thrilled to announce a significant expansion of our available writing Libraries available to AP users, in particular for K-12 users. The 11trees College Edition Library, now on its third edition, has been the writing feedback companion for thousands of teachers over the last decade. However, writing skills are core skills that need to be taught starting in primary school.
11trees has acquired the rights to three new writing Libraries designed for the K-12 environment. All three Libraries are structured the same, however, each Library is adapted to the appropriate competencies and writing level of students for elementary (grades 3-6), middle (grades 6-9), and high school (grades 9-12).
Pennington’s Libraries are fantastic tools for teachers focused on mastering the rules of English grammar and curating stronger writing skills.
In addition to these three Libraries, 11trees now offers a second College Writing edition from Pennington. While there is obvious overlap on topics like following the rules for MLA/APA formatting and proper comma usage, the Libraries address writing skills from different angles. Penningtons College Edition provides very detailed explanations and examples on topics such as grammar rules and strategies for improving thesis statements, introductions, and conclusions. The 11trees College Edition has more succinct feedback and relies on the 11guide to expand upon the points without sending as much text directly to the student in the feedback area. 11trees College Edition also focuses more heavily on crafting a strong, fallacy-free argument compared to the focus on grammar and mechanics of Pennington’s College Edition.
All four Libraries are available to license for AP users.Â
