Privacy Policy
Last update: October 16, 2023
Intro
The first way we protect your privacy is by maintaining as little information on users as possible. You can learn more about what data we store:
Depending on how you register for our solutions we get either your name and email address OR your LMS unique identifier and name (in the case of integration with an LMS like Canvas or Blackboard) . These are necessary to create a unique account and make it easy for you to sign in from various computers.
When you choose to pay us for the services we provide, we use industry standard provider Stripe to manage payments. 11trees never stores your credit card or other personal information required for such payment. We leave it to the experts and their large investments in data security. We partner with and Brevo to securely manage email subscriptions and protect your right to opt out of such communications.
We also store Comment Libraries – which most likely don’t hold any state secrets, let alone Social Security Numbers, Student ID numbers, or Credit Card numbers. To facilitate longitudinal data analysis we do store activity data: comments added with Annotate PRO, discussion analytics data created with Canopy and similar.
We use industry standard SSL to transmit data and take protection of your hard work very seriously.
We will never sell or otherwise share any of your information with a third party.
