Find Your PID in Microsoft Word

NOTE: This info only applies to pre-2017 versions of Annotate running on Office 2010/2011/2013. All new customers and updates are handled through the beautiful Office Store interface and the following nastiness avoided completely. Progress!!!

The PRO editions of our solutions for Microsoft Word are licensed to your specific installation of Word through the Microsoft Product ID (PID) associated with your software. This number is unique to your instance of Word; if you use two different computers you will have two different PIDs. The PID is found in slightly different places depending on your version of Word.

The Microsoft product key (PID) contain 25 characters that are typically divided into groups of 5.

Example: 12345-ABC99-321XX-54321

Your PRO license entitles you to three (3) installations. Additional installations are $10 each.

Site License holders do not have this restriction.

Please click on the appropriate version of Word to find instructions on locating your PID:

Word 2013 and Word 365

  1. Start Microsoft Word.
  2. Click File on the Menu Bar.
  3. Click Account.
  4. Navigate to Product Information section and click the Account button.
  5. The 20-digit Product ID is at the top of the About window.
  6. Copy the 20-digit number to your clipboard.
  7. Provide the number to us when ordering or via an email to info@11trees.com.

Word 2011 for Mac OS X

  1. Start Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on Word on the Menu Bar.
  3. Click on About Word.
  4. PID is located at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Copy the number to your clipboard.
  6. Provide the 20-digit number to us when ordering or via an email to info@11trees.com.

Word 2010

  1. Start Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on File on the Menu Bar.
  3. Click on Help from Menu list.
  4. PID is located on Right Hand side of screen.
  5. Copy the 20-digit number to your clipboard.
  6. Provide the number to us when ordering or via an email to info@11trees.com.

Word 2007

  1. Start Application.
  2. Click the Microsoft Office Button.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Resources.
  5. Click About.
  6. Copy the number to your clipboard.
  7. Provide the number to us when ordering or via an email to info@11trees.com.
