The comment database we provide as part of Annotate for Word is a file that resides on your hard drive.

Annotate will open a database with the title, "Anno_Content.sdf." So if one teacher at your school has made a really cool database, you could simply copy it and install it so you could use it. You might even back up your database for later use.

You simply replace your current Anno_Content.sdf file with one provided to you. Here's how (it takes a minute, at most, but like most things Microsoft is fairly arcane).

1. Close Microsoft Word.
2. Install Annotate for Word (if you haven't already)
3. Make sure you can view hidden folders and files
   1. Run Windows Explorer
   2. Click Folder Options (you may need to press 'ALT' to see the menu)
   3. Make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected and click Apply

4. Browse to your Users folder and open the AppData folder
   1.  Your Users folder has the path: \Users\%username%\AppData
      
      
5. Open either the Local or Roaming folder in the AppData folder and look for the 11trees sub-folder
6. Open the 11trees folder
7. Open the Annotate for Word folder (the name will be slightly different, depending on your version)
8. Make a copy of the Anno_Content.sdf file (you could simply rename it to Anno_Content_Mary.sdf, for instance).
9. Paste in a database provided to you.
10. Open Microsoft Word
